About smoke-free zones

Many parts of the country are smoke control areas. This means you’re not allowed to emit smoke from a chimney unless you’re burning authorised fuel or using exempt appliances, for example burners and stoves. You can usually use outdoor barbecues, chimineas, fireplaces and pizza ovens.
