Traditional Clay Pizza Stone – 30cm

Walk this way for that authentic wood-fired flavour you can’t achieve any other way! This fab traditional clay pizza stone measures 30cm across, perfect for use in chimineas. It’s made of hardwearing clay and results in even heat distribution, meaning you get a superb, crispy pizza base. A little flour or cornflour on the stone will prevent your pizza from sticking. This pizza stone can also be used to heat  rolls for your alfresco dinner table.

To use the stone, heat it slowly by putting it in your chiminea as soon as you light the fire. This will protect it against cracking. The pizza stone should be handled carefully. For the best results we recommend you wash it with water only, since the clay is slightly porous. The clay may stain if exposed to cooking juices, and the bottom may go brown brown as a result of the flames, but this will not affect its use – it’s just the clay doing its natural thing.
