It’s a big bugger. The Large Pan American Grill with Wood Fired Brazier is chunky, large, tough, heavy and strong, and it’s all about cooking up a storm. Here’s what you need to know about our biggest brick barbecue, a permanent BBQ crafted with love to deliver years of alfresco fun. It’s party time!
Large Pan American Grill with Wood Fired Brazier
It isn’t a brazier. Nor is it grill. It does both, giving you an unusually versatile BBQ to cook all sorts of treats on, from the everyday to the extraordinary. No wonder this enormous Pan American Grill with Wood Fired Brazier is such a popular model. The design creates a strong, clean burn for fuel efficiency and reliable cooking. Made using warm brown refractory concrete with an attractive contrasting brick texture, the sturdy hood is made from metal. Altogether, it really is built like a brick sh*thouse!
The Argentine-style look delivers awesomely tasty food, a design that stands the test of time. The lateral brazier is a dream to use and the grill, with its generous 65 x 50cm cooking surface, has space to cook up a real alfresco feast. There’s even a nifty metal ash collection drawer for easy cleaning, something that pleases our customers. After all, who wants to spend hours cleaning up when you’d rather eat, drink, be merry, chat and chill out?
The package includes a really heavy concrete base, exactly what you need for a stable, perfectly level installation. At 120cm wide, 70cm deep and an impressive 220cm tall, the weight reveals the model’s sheer quality. 850kg makes it a permanent barbecue, so heavy and strong you won’t want to move it. The materials mean it’s perfectly Ok left outdoors through winter, as happy as Larry through wind, rain, snow and everything else the British weather throws at us. The choice of materials – brick and refractory concrete – also means cleaning is a simple matter.
Refractory concrete, by the way, is a popular heat-resistant concrete made with a lot of alumina or calcium-aluminate, ideal for high heat applications including furnaces, fireplaces and wood burning stoves.
Special channels drain oil and fat away from the food into a grease trough, making it an easy task to BBQ healthy. The simple crank system changes the temperature of the grill instantly, either moving the food closer to or further away from the heat source using an easy-to-handle chain system. And the tall, elegant chimney creates an excellent draw to maximise the airflow, drawing smoke away from the grill and keeping the burn good and hot whether you opt for wood or charcoal.
The whole thing is very low maintenance, which is good to know. There are two large concrete shelves under the cooking area for storage, keeping things convenient, and considering it’s such a big thing it is surprisingly easy to self-assemble. Just measure once, measure twice more, then make sure the surface is flat enough and man enough for the concrete base to stand safely on. Feel free to stand it against a wall, out of the way, or in the middle of the space. Either way the look will draw people in, gathering around it like moths to a flame.
Every feature is well made, built to last from quality materials. We’ll deliver it to your door on a pallet, on board a lorry, direct from the manufacturer within 2-3 weeks, and the carrier will contact you to arrange delivery. The pack includes all the assembly instructions, so all you need is a friendly helper or two to carry the sections to the right place in the garden and help you fit it all together.
